The Hot Springs Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (HSA-MPO) is the official Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Hot Springs area. Each area of more than 50,000 persons must have a designated MPO to coordinate transportation planning and funding on a regional level. The MPO is responsible for planning and developing a safe, efficient and affordable transportation system for the region.
HSA-MPO was formed in 2003 to develop a comprehensive long-range transportation plan for the Hot Springs area. The area served by the HSA-MPO includes Hot Springs, Mountain Pine, Hot Spring County, Garland County and Hot Springs Village.

The Amended 2013-2016 TIP is now available for public comment until October 29. The link depicts the amended project in red and the document is also available at the Garland County Courthouse, Hot Springs City Hall and the MPO office at 100 Broadway Terrace.
