At the city’s newly-renovated 840-acre airport, residents and visitors can board Mesa Airlines to reach Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, Harrison, Arkansas or Kansas City, Missouri.
There are 100 based aircraft, occupying 70 hangars of various types, along with numerous transient aircraft at the airport. Services include fueling, parking, tie down and private hangars. An adjacent fire station services the airport.
The airport leases spaces to 77 tenants, including nine aviation related industries and seven non-aviation related industries, representing an annual payroll of more than $6.5 million. The airport is self-supporting with revenue from aviation fuel sales and hangar, terminal building and grounds rental fees.
Hot Springs Office and Technology Park, an 87-acre site with a 38,000 square foot speculative building at the airport’s south end, offers high-tech companies access to wide bandwidth communications through Southwestern Bell’s fiber optic network.
Families come to Hot Springs Memorial Field for special events such as race competitions and vintage aircraft displays. Airport visitors are welcome, and guided group tours are available.
