The Neighborhood Services Division is a part of the Planning and Development Department. The division is responsible for compliance with city ordinances related to housing, vacant structure, weeds, premises, and abandoned autos. The division responds to citizen requests, conducts proactive inspections and special projects.
Our mission is to enhance the level of public safety and city aesthetics through effective enforcement of city ordinances and to ensure due process for each citizen.
Complaints:
Complaints regarding trash, debris, high weeds or grass, overgrown lots, inoperable automobiles, residential housing violation and vacant structure on private property are investigated by inspectors assigned to the Neighborhood Services Division. Citizens can report these types of violations by contacting the Neighborhood Services Division at (501)321-6850 or sbahner@cityhs.net. It is not necessary to leave your name or phone number in order to report a complaint. All complaints are investigated within 48 hours.
