The City of Hot Springs and Hot Springs Intracity Transit (IT) provide curb to curb Paratransit Service to eligible persons with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This special service includes origins and destinations within the city limits and the IT service area.
Any disabled person who desires to use the IT ADA Paratransit Service must complete an application form and be certified by IT as ADA eligible.
Service must be requested the prior day by calling the IT office. Calls are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Service is provided within one hour of the requested time.
ADA hours of operation are Monday – Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The cost for the ADA Paratransit service is $ 2.50 per one way trip (exact change is required). The IT office sells coupon books (10 coupons per book) for the Paratransit service, the cost per coupon book is $ 25.00.
