HDC Public Hearing notice
The Hot Springs Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 16 in the Board Chambers of Hot Springs City Hall, 133 Convention Boulevard. This hearing is to consider the following certificate of appropriateness requests and commission business.
• Central Avenue Historic District Boundary Increase - Consider amending the local ordinance historic district boundary of the northern portion of the Central Avenue Historic District.
• Maxine’s, 700 Central Avenue - Request to replace deteriorated transom window frames and glass, and rebuild to original design.
• Schweer Building, Parking Garage and National Park Aquarium, 207-209 Central Avenue - Request to repaint garage exterior and window trim, repaint the southside brick of Wade Building and to paint the Arlington Hotel around the tower suites above garage.
