HOT SPRINGS, ARK. – Through a “Virtual Ribbon Cutting” video (hotlink listed above), the City of Hot Springs today launched a series of streaming community videos highlighting the community’s assets as a unique way to communicate with potential new residents and new businesses.

Through a link entitled “Community Video Showcase” on the home page of the city’s Web site, www.cityhs.net, 10 different video chapters highlight a wide range of local topics including education, business and industry, recreation, relocation and real estate, healthcare and senior living, shopping and dining, tourism and accommodations, downtown attractions, local history, and a welcome message. The Hot Springs Public Information Department partnered closely with the production team of CGI Communications, Inc. to produce the video series.

The videos are provided to the city free of charge for a three-year period through the support of 34 local business sponsors, which were obtained by CGI. Links to informational videos about each local business sponsor, along with links to sponsor Web sites, are located around the city video links. Through CGI’s patented OneClickTM technology, an Internet user with any type of media player can easily access the videos, and e-mail them directly to an individual or to a group of e-mail addresses.

Business sponsorships are for a one-year duration. Information on additional available sponsor space is available by calling CGI at 1-800-398-3029, x777.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the City of Hot Springs to share its story locally, nationally and even internationally with those wanting to learn more about what Hot Springs has to offer,” said Mayor Mike Bush. “It can benefit families and retirees, new and existing businesses, and even new residents of Hot Springs. The City of Hot Springs would like to say ‘Thank You’ to the fine local businesses that invested in this video project. We hope it will bring more economic vitality to the entire community, and help spread the good word about Hot Springs as a great place to live, work and enjoy a great quality of life.”
