Amateur photographers and pumpkin carvers can begin preparing their entries for contests held during “A Day at the Farm,” to be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 27 at the Historic Downtown Farmers’ Market, Transportation Plaza at Orange.
The photo contest has three categories: farm scenes, farm animals and farm produce. Color or black and white entries, one per category, will be accepted. A special children’s photo contest for ages 16 and under will also be held. The carved pumpkin contest is limited to one pumpkin per person.
All contest entries must be submitted by 8 a.m. on event day. Ribbons will be awarded later that morning. The complete contest rules can be found on the farmers’ market page of the City of Hot Springs’ Web site, http://www.cityhs.net/dept-public-info-farmers-market.html.
