4H Club County Extension Agent Josh Wright will conduct a free introductory backpacking class at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9 at Family Park, 215 Family Park Road. The event, part of the Hot Springs Parks and Recreation Department’s Mobile Activity Center program, is just in time for fall hiking plans. Immediately following the class, children can participate in recreational M.A.C. activities at the park (children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult). Program schedules will also be available.
