The third annual Hot Springs Affordable Homeownership Fair will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 13 at the Transportation Depot, 100 Broadway Terrace in downtown Hot Springs. Free and open to the public, the fair promotes city living, home improvement and community involvement through vendor displays designed to help current and prospective homeowners who want to purchase, refinance or improve their home.
More than 15 exhibitors, including mortgage lenders, real estate agents, community and governmental organizations will offer information on local housing opportunities. Residents can learn about timely topics including first-time homebuyer programs, down payment assistance programs, homebuyer education classes, understanding one’s credit and the process of getting a loan, finding the right mortgage lender and real estate professional, and more. Gift certificates and door prizes will be offered during the event, which is co-sponsored by the Hot Springs One-Stop Homeownership Center and the City of Hot Springs Community Development Block Grant Program.
