The City of Hot Springs is currently constructing decorative crosswalks on Central Avenue in the Central Business Improvement District #3. During construction, Central Avenue between Market and Spring Streets will be partially closed as follows:
· Northbound lane will detour onto Market, Broadway, Malvern, Spring and back to Central Avenue.
· Southbound lane will move over to the opposite traffic lane from time to time, depending on how crosswalk project progresses.
· Westbound Market Street will close at Broadway, with no left turn onto northbound Central from eastbound Market.
· Traffic signal light at Malvern Avenue and Spring Street will be temporarily turned off to facilitate traffic flow to Central Avenue.
· Spring Street will become one-way only in a west bound direction.
Traffic will be slowed, and motorists are advised to be prepared to stop. Weather permitting, the work should be completed in two weeks.
