Hot Springs citizens are invited to honor the men and women with current and past military service by attending Veterans Day celebrations in the community.
On Friday, November 9, a spaghetti dinner and dance will be held at the Elks Lodge on Abbott Street.
On Saturday, November 10 from noon until 2 p.m., a USO performance, featuring local talent, will be held at the Hot Springs Mall.
On Sunday, November 11 at 11 a.m., a Veterans Day program will be held at Crestview Cemetery.
The celebration culminates with the 9th Annual Veterans Day Parade, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Central Avenue in downtown Hot Springs. Veterans will be honored during the parade.
All events are free except for the spaghetti dinner, which has a $5 charge. For more information, contact Bill Sexton, 623-8931, extension 223.
