The Hot Springs Sanitation Department will be accepting Christmas trees for recycling. Christmas trees must be stripped of tinsel, ornaments and lights before recycling. Citizens can cut their trees into three-foot lengths or less and place them curbside for free collection on their regular recycling day. They can also bring the trees to the Sanitation Department lot at the corner of Valley and Runyon streets. All trees from curbside collection and the drop-off lot will be taken to the city’s compost facility. For more information, contact Sanitation at 321-6911.
