AIRPORT HOSTS MONTHLY ART EXHIBIT

The public is invited to an opening reception featuring the works of Traditional Art Guild Artist Betty Christianson from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 in the terminal building at Hot Springs Memorial Field, 525 Airport Road.  The collection will remain on display until June 16.

Originally born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Betty studied art at American River College in northern California and graduated with a degree in
interior design and fine art from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle in 1970. She has been accepted in many regional and national juried shows and has received many prestigious awards. She has enjoyed working in several styles and different media employing traditional as well as experimental techniques. Currently, her work is in many private and public collections.

The airport is partnering with the Traditional Art Guild to offer a year-long schedule of rotating exhibits, with an opening reception on

the third Saturday of each month. For more information on the airport art exhibit, contact Nina Louton, Traditional Art Guild president, 622-3100.
