Applications for a volunteer opening on the Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission are being accepted until October 20, 2008. The position is available to any applicant who is a qualified elector in the City of Hot Springs and an owner or manager of a hotel or restaurant located within the city limits.
The seven-member commission administers the collection and expenditure of the city's 3% tax on prepared food and lodging for the purpose of promoting Hot Springs. The commission also oversees operation of the Convention Center and the Hot Springs Mountain Tower. Applications are available at the executive offices of the Hot Springs Convention Center, 134 Convention Boulevard, via fax or via e-mail. Deadline for completed applications is noon, October 20, 2008.
