616 new cases added in past 24 hours

The following statistics were posted Monday, Sept. 21,9-21-20 ADH daily graphic on the Arkansas Department of Health’s (ADH) website:

  • 76,364 total cases, up 2,282 from Friday.
  • 74,286 total confirmed cases, up 1,948 from Friday. 
  • 2,078 total probable cases, up 334 from Friday.
  • 6,706 total active cases, up 548 from Friday.
  • 6,299 active confirmed cases, up 532 from Friday.
  • 68,461 recoveries, up 2,520 from Friday.
  • 1,197 total deaths.
  • 149 probable deaths, up one from Friday.
  • 447 cases requiring hospitalization, up 75 from Friday.
  • 97 cases requiring a ventilator, up 23 from Friday. 
  • 1,750 cumulative cases in Garland County, up 36 from Friday.
  • 131 active cases in Garland County, down one from Friday.
  • 1,570 recoveries in Garland County, up 36 from Friday.
  • 49 deaths in Garland County, up one from Friday.

In the past 24 hours, the number of positive PCR tests added in Arkansas was 596, with 544 from the community and 52 from correctional facilities. There were 20 new probable cases added from positive antigen test results; a total of 253 antigen tests were received in the past 24 hours. The number of PCR tests completed in the past 24 hours was 7,657. 

Counties with the number of new cases higher than 20 in the past 24 hours include Pulaski with 56, Benton with 39, Craighead with 39, Jefferson with 34 and Washington with 29.

The daily new case counts over the weekend included 959 on Saturday and 579 on Sunday.
