City Attorney

The Hot Springs city attorney is appointed directly by the Hot Springs Board of Directors. 

The city attorney represents the city in all legal affairs, advising the board of directors, city manager, and department heads with respect to contracts, ordinances, and resolutions, as well as the following:

  • Conducts all court litigation on behalf of the City
  • Prosecutes the City’s traffic, DWI, and code violations in Garland County District Court, along with any appeals to the Circuit Court
  • Pursues civil remedies with the support of the board of directors through the courts as an alternative method of combating illegal drug activity in the community through the city’s Nuisance Abatement Program
