Earth Angel Update

For every ton of newspaper recycled, we save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, and 7,000 gallons of water. Our Earth Angel Recycling Program recycled 2.75 tons of newspaper last week. That is approximately 46 trees, 1,045 gallons of oil, 8 cubic yards of landfill space and 19,250 gallons of water saved.

Last week, the Earth Angels of Hot Springs recycled:
87 Lbs. – Aluminum Cans
5,507 Lbs. – Newspaper
230 Lbs. – Corrugated Cardboard
13,920 Lbs. – Yard Waste
740 Lbs. – Scrap Metal
6 Lbs. – Phone Books

A total of 10.25 tons of recyclable materials were kept out of the landfill.
