HOT SPRINGS -- In accordance with the city’s participation in the National Flood Insurance Program, the City of Hot Springs plans to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between Carpenter Dam Road, MLK Expressway and Wildwood Garden Subdivision, along Gulpha Creek Tributary #5. The targeted area lies along the Gulpha Creek Tributary from a point approximately 1,150 feet upstream of the confluence of the Gulpha Creek Tributary #5 with Gulpha Creek to 3,980 feet upstream of the confluence. The streets included in this area are Bluebell Court and Bluebell Place, within Wildwood Gardens Subdivision.
As a result of the revision, the 1% annual chance water surface elevations will increase and decrease and the 1% annual chance floodplain will widen and narrow within the area of revision.
Maps and detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at the Public Works Office, located at 111 Opera Street in the City Hall Annex.
