The Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, May 19 in the Board Chambers of City Hall, 133 Convention Boulevard. The hearing is to consider the following:
118 A Central Avenue – Tillman Building – certificate of appropriateness request to install a new awning, repaint the storefront in blue, white and gold and install new business identification signs.
201 Central Avenue – certificate of appropriateness request to install a new projecting business identification sign on the front of this building.
366 Central Avenue – certificate of appropriateness request to install two window business identification signs.
231 Central Avenue – HSV Discovery Center - certificate of appropriateness request to install new business identification signs and clad existing awning support planters in wood.
528 Central Avenue – Rustic Plaza - certificate of appropriateness request to perform exterior cosmetic change in color. Proposal is to install a copper like metal product on outside corners, “Hot Springs Blue” paint on the flat face and a charcoal grey on upright slats of the building.
