The Board’s regular meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 6 at 7 p.m. in the Board Chambers at City Hall, 133 Convention Boulevard. During the meeting, public hearings regarding the proposed annexation of Areas C, D and E will be held. Those planning to attend the meeting are advised to use Malvern Avenue, Spring Street or Convention Boulevard to reach City Hall, due to the Oaklawn Rotary Christmas Parade which will take place on the same evening due to Monday’s inclement weather forecast. Whittington Avenue will close at 6 p.m. and Central Avenue will close at 6:20 p.m. for the parade, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. The parade will begin at the intersection of Whittington, Park and Central Avenues, turn left at Orange Street and end at the Transportation Depot on Broadway Street.
