Volunteers are invited to help cleanup portions of the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25. Check-in stations will be located at the Rotary Centennial Trailhead, 411 Hollywood Avenue, and at the Transportation Depot, 100 Broadway Terrace. The cleanup is co-sponsored by Keep Arkansas Beautiful, Arkansas Master Naturalists, Diamond Lakes Chapter, Hot Springs Young Professionals, Hot Springs Friends of the Parks, Hot Springs National Park Rotary and the Hot Springs Parks & Trails Department.
T-shirts will be provided to volunteers on a first come, first served basis, along with gloves and trash bags. “Bring your family, friends or civic group to assist in this effort to keep our community beautiful and our creek safe for all residents and visitors to enjoy,” said Parks & Trails Director Jean Wallace.
The event is part of the annual Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community improvement program that engages more than five million volunteers. Call 321-6871 for information.
