Kaylie McGough, age 10, of Hot Springs, presented a donation check of $635 to Animal Services Director Dan Bugg, far right, after deciding to raise money by selling bracelets she made herself. The “thin blue line” bracelets, honoring those in the law enforcement profession, were made by Kaylie of beads and rubber bands. Other handmade bracelets bore bright summer colors.
Kaylie said she raised the funds because she wanted to “help the dogs.” “It’s important that we reinforce this care and concern in our young ones,” said Bugg. “They will be the adults that find other needs in our communities and fill the gap by volunteering or advocating for the need.”
