The Hot Springs National Park Sister City Foundation will accept applications until September 1 for artists in Garland County to fully fund travel costs for up to a four-week trip to Hanamaki, Japan in April 2018.
The City of Hanamaki will provide home stay arrangements, most meals, tours and artistic opportunities during the artist’s stay.
The trip will provide a Garland County artist the opportunity to interact with artists, observe and learn about the culture of Hanamaki. The artist must commit to share his or her experience and artwork with local artists, teachers and the public, including participating in the fall 2018 activities for the Sister City 25th anniversary celebration.
Application information is available on the Sister City Program page under the Our Community tab on the City of Hot Springs’ website, www.cityhs.net. For further details call 545-6960.
