Beginning at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, water customers on Echo Valley Road and Echo Point may experience interrupted water service during the relocation of piping as part of the Highway 7 South widening project. The project is expected to be completed by early evening. After the piping is connected to a new 12-inch main, customers may experience temporarily cloudy water. If this occurs, the following tips are offered:
- Run cold (not hot) water at the sink or tub faucet until it runs clear.
- Refrain from washing white or light-colored clothes until the water runs clear.
- Discard discolored ice cubes and make new ones after the water runs clear.
The discolored or cloudy water has no impact on water safety, and the water is safe for consumption. The cloudiness will dissipate as the system naturally flushes. For most customers, this condition should clear within the next 24 hours. Customers with questions can call 321-6200.
