The following lane closure update is provided by the Arkansas Department of Transportation regarding ongoing construction work to widen U.S. Highway 70 in Garland and Saline counties.
Beginning Monday, November 13, crews will perform milling and paving work on U.S. Highway 70 that requires flagging operations and lane closures. Eastbound and westbound traffic will alternately be closed, beginning at County Road 369 and continuing west for a quarter mile. Weather permitting, the lane closures will occur from Monday, November 13 through Friday, November 17, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone, and flaggers will control traffic.
