Due to subfreezing temperatures in the forecast, First United Methodist Church, 1100 Central Avenue, will provide a warming center beginning tomorrow, Thursday, December 28, at 7 p.m. and continuing through 7 a.m. The center will operate the same 12-hour shift daily until Tuesday, January 2 at 7 a.m. The church will serve as a warming center only, with the American Red Cross providing cots, blankets and pillows. The Red Cross needs volunteers; those interested in helping can contact Andrea Sellers at 501-623-9321.
