From 7 a.m. until approximately noon on Thursday (tomorrow), Broadway Street, between Olive and Market streets, will be closed while the power feed to the Transportation Depot is disconnected as part of the building’s re-roofing project. The disconnection process temporarily suspends the power lines too low for vehicle passage. Buses will make a slight detour in order to access the depot.
The Transportation Depot, located at 100 Broadway Terrace, including the offices of Hot Springs Intracity Transit (IT) and the Public Works Stormwater Division, will be without electric and telephone service during the project. The IT office will be open and ticket sales will be available, but restrooms will be closed. The Stormwater office will be closed until noon. The northbound lane at the intersection of Files Road and Mockingbird Street will be closed Friday through Tuesday for communication pad installation. Signs will be posted, and motorists are asked to use caution when traveling in the work area.
