Beginning Monday, October 1, Hot Springs Intracity Transit riders must show a new Medicare card or identification indicating age of 62 years or older in order to receive their half fare discount.
Medicare is now required by law to remove all Social Security Numbers from identification cards to help secure and protect personal identities. New Medicare cards now have unique numbers. Members who have not received their Medicare card can visit www.medicare.gov/newcard or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). Intracity Transit passengers without either requirement will have to pay full fare price. For information call 321-2020.
