On Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:20 a.m., the Hot Springs Police Department received a 911 call in reference to shots fired in the 300 block of Chappel Hill Road. Upon arrival, officers encountered an armed male suspect. An HSPD officer discharged his weapon and the suspect was shot. The suspect was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Arkansas State Police will assume the investigation.
