A community meeting for Envision Hot Springs is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, in rooms 207-209 at the Hot Springs Convention Center, 134 Convention Blvd.
All are encouraged to attend and participate in setting ideas and priorities for Envision Hot Springs, an update to the City of Hot Springs’ Comprehensive Plan.
In 2019, the City partnered with Design Workshop to initiate a community-oriented effort to update HS2030, the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Envision Hot Springs will be the City’s playbook for success, outlining achievable strategies and action items to guide staff and city leaders as they initiate tasks and make decisions that will impact Hot Springs residents over the next 20 years. The final document will consist of written recommendations supported by maps, definitions and action items.
At the meetings, guests will consider:
- what’s working and what needs work
- special places that need protecting
- revitalization strategies
- areas for development
- transportation improvements
- places for people to gather/play/learn
- special character of the neighborhood
- priorities so efforts can be focused
