[ARCHIVED] Adult softball registration

HOT SPRINGS – The City of Hot Springs Sport Recreation Department will begin accepting registration for adult softball on Monday April 7. Leagues will start play in late May. The deadline to register is May 9, or until leagues have reached their capacity.

Men’s lower and co-ed teams will play on Wednesday nights while men’s middle and upper teams will play on Thursday nights. Games will start at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. There is a 12-game guarantee for each league. Prizes and awards for each league will be determined at the mandatory managers meeting at 6:30 p.m. on May 15 at the Sport Recreation Office, 108 Pleasant Street.

In order to register a team and secure a spot, teams must pay the full registration fee of $500 by check, cash, or credit card. Holding a check will be permitted to secure a spot with a given deadline. Once a team has paid their fee, they will have until May 9 to turn in rosters. Once rosters are approved, the schedules will be released. Style of play will be ASA-style pitch with ASA/USSSA/NSA approved bats.

To register a team, please visit the Sport Recreation Office, 108 Pleasant Street, or the Parks and Recreation Office, 111 Opera Street, Suite A. Registration forms are also available on the Sport Recreation Department page at www.cityhs.net .
