HOT SPRINGS – City of Hot Springs Stormwater Manager Max Sestili recently became a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), following a week-long training course. The CFM certification program, nationally recognized by the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), was taught in Conway, one of only two places in the United States that offers CFM training.
“Max joins an elite group of CFM’s numbering close to 100 in the State of Arkansas,” said Public Works Operations Manager Denny McPhate. “He joins Senior Engineering Inspector Pat Watson and me as the only city employees with current CFM certification. This latest achievement exemplifies Max’s dedication to stormwater management, as well as to continued education in floodplain management.”
