HOT SPRINGS -- The West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District (WCAPDD) recently awarded a $40,000 General Improvement Fund (GIF) grant to the City of Hot Springs for infield renovations at Kimery Park.
“The renovation is a design and installation project of artificial turf on four infields, which will provide an economic benefit for our city as well as a quality of life benefit for our residents,” said City Clerk and Assistant City Manager Lance Spicer. WCAPDD GIF grants are awarded to city and county governments and community groups for projects within applicable Arkansas State legislative districts. The 89th Arkansas General Assembly appropriated funding to WCAPDD for the grant program to assist local communities with their community and economic development needs.
