The Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission is accepting applications until noon on Monday, Nov. 28, for a position on the Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission.
This seven-member commission serves a four-year term and generally meets on the last Monday of each month. All positions on the commission are volunteer and unpaid.
The responsibilities of the commission are to administer the collection and expenditure of the city’s 3% tax on prepared food and lodging for the purposes of promoting Hot Springs and oversee operations of the Convention Center, Majestic Park and the Northwoods Trail System.
The position is available to an applicant who meets the following qualifications:
- A qualified elector in the City of Hot Springs
- The owner or manager of a hotel, restaurant or tourism business located within city limits
