“We encourage city residents who want emergency messages to follow us @hotspringsgov, and to share information with us as well,” said Public Information Director Terry Payne. “It’s the quickest online medium, since messages are limited to 140 characters. We’ll use Twitter to update residents on unfolding major events, and we encourage residents to respond with images and field observations. In the event of inclement weather, or any situation that is fluid and constantly changing, it’s another tool to quickly share information.” Residents can sign up at http://www.twitter.com .
