Hot Springs Municipal Utilities has lifted its request for voluntary water conservation following Monday’s heavy rainfall event. The debris and turbidity affecting Lake Hamilton, severely hampering water production, have decreased to a point where potable water production and tank levels have returned to normal.
“Although voluntary water conservation is good everyday practice, we have exited the critical stage,” said Deputy City Manager Bill Burrough. ‘’We appreciate the public’s efforts that contributed to the restoration of normal production levels.” Water conservation tips are available on the Water Treatment page of city’s website, www.cityhs.net .
