Interim City Manager Bill Burrough recently announced the appointment of Assistant Police Chief Jason Stachey as Interim Police Chief of the Hot Springs Police Department, effective December 1, 2015.
Following the retirement of current Police Chief David Flory on November 30, the city will begin the recruitment process by advertising for candidates and developing an applicant pool. “This is an extremely important position within our community and should be hired by the city manager, once named,” Burrough said. “I have full confidence in Assistant Chief Stachey’s ability and appreciate his willingness to step into the interim role.” The search process for Hot Springs’ city manager is currently underway.
Stachey began his career with the Hot Springs Police Department on December 29, 1997 and has served as Assistant Police Chief since September 27, 2014.
