Parents and guardians can submit a call form by Friday, December 4 for area children ages 7 years old and younger to receive a telephone call from Santa and Mrs. Claus during the 14th year of “Santa’s Switchboard,” a volunteer event sponsored by the Hot Springs Parks & Trails Department. The event will take place between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 9.
Each year the Parks & Trails office, 111 Opera Street, transforms into the Hot Springs “North Pole” as Santa places personal phone greetings to bring joy to local children and their families. Amid the sounds of laughter and sleigh bells, Santa and Mrs. Claus delight in the opportunity to personally interact with each child. A host of local volunteers, fed by this year’s sponsors, Newk’s Eatery and Chick-Fil-A, ensure that the connections go smoothly.
